Y5 Mini Police

The Y5 mini police new recruits.


The children have been learning about the Jewish festival, Hanukkah.

The celebration started on the 10th December and will end on the 18th December. It celebrates a miracle that happened in Jerusalem over 2,000 years ago.

Shoebox Appeal

Y5LM/VH collected and filled 14 shoe boxes and gave them to the Sheffield Shoebox Appeal, they were collected on Friday 4th December. Thank you to all the parents and carers for their generosity and a huge thank to the children for all their hard work.

The children in Y5LM/VH learnt about the importance of Diwali to Hindus. The children created henna tattoos, made decorations and food to resemble lights to celebrate the festival of light.


Y5LM/VH were joined by the Women's Cricket Team at Sheffield University. They taught the children some vital skills for playing cricket. The children enjoyed the experience!

We would also like to thank everyone who came to the Scholastic Book Fair. We raised over £1200, which means we will receive over £700 in books for our school!

2020 Science Day

Here's our certificate for our participation in Science Day - part of the STEM Science Week.

British Science Week, a ten-day celebration of all things science, technology, engineering and mathematics, took place on 6-15 March 2020.

This year the theme was 'Our Diverse Planet' - celebrating the amazing diversity we see across the world.
